Celebrate the Lunar New Year at Bridlewood Mall on February 1st, hosted by the Canada One Family Network. Enjoy an afternoon full of Chinese cultural experiences, from classic Chinese music performances, golden oldie medleys, and captivating dance performances.
Witness talented calligraphers creating "spring couplets" and "huichun" (decorative red scrolls for good fortune), explore a youth painting and calligraphy exhibition, and take part in interactive craft workshops. For a taste of traditional Chinese treats, indulge in candied hawthorn from old Beijing!
This event is the perfect opportunity to introduce children to the beauty of Chinese culture. At 2 PM, join Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow and representatives from all three levels of government to celebrate the Lunar New Year with lion dances and the tradition of "cai qing."
